Luca Bish has been inundated with supportive messages from his Love Island co-stars after posting a picture of himself in a hospital bed. Luca, who appeared on the ITV2 show back in 2022, shared a snap of himself in hospital with one of his legs strapped up and with a leg brace on.

Despite having his leg in a brace, the 25 year old looked in good spirits as he beamed for the camera and gave a thumbs up. Alongside the post Luca shared a snippet of Ed Sheeran ’s song Thinking Out Loud and used the lyrics “when your legs don't work like they used to before” to caption the photo.

In response to the snap, familiar faces from Love Island flocked to the comments section to show their support for Luca. “Speedy recovery lad,” wrote Andrew Le Page. “Back in top form soon my boyyyy,” added Dami Hope.

“Get better soon bro you still look fresh,” commented Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. “Got ya bro, be back better,” said Jacques O’Neill.

Meanwhile, Scott Thomas added: “Hope you’re ok geez! I broke my leg a few years ago and it’s mad how much it recovers! Just make sure you do the physio”.

The TV personality’s post comes just two months after he shared a video of himself being pushed around in a wheelchair in July. In the video, Luca’s left leg was strapped up and in a brace and he also carried a pair of crutches on his lap.

Having appeared on Love Island two years ago, last year Luca spoke to OK! about his time on the show as he embarked on his latest venture, BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef. During the interview, he revealed that filming for Celebrity MasterChef had given him his mojo back.

“Making that show has brought me back to being the Luca before the villa,” he said. “I felt myself again, it made me feel comfortable to do TV again. I was still very unsure if I wanted to be put in a situation where you can be shown in a certain light, but it made me feel so happy.”

During his time on Love Island, Luca made it all the way to the Love Island final with Gemma Owen. However, he explained the impact that the show had on him.

“I was like a battery and most of my juice was gone by the end of it and I was just ready to go,” he recalled. “I was mentally not there. When my mum and dad came in [as part of the Meet the Parents challenge], they even said they weren’t looking at their son. And that’s sad to hear, but thanks to MasterChef I feel back and if not better than I have before. It’s just learning, but I feel amazing. I’ve embraced it.”
