Former Love Island finalist Megan Barton Hanson is reportedly dating The Only Way is Essex star Demi Sims.

The pair is set to appear in the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating, but instead of finding love with the suitors picked out for them by matchmakers Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson, they allegedly hit it off with one another.

“Megan and Demi met on the show and have been dating ever since,” a source told The Sun Online. “It’s really serious. They like each other a lot and it’s the real deal.

“Of course it’s not the ideal scenario for the Celebs Go Dating bosses as the celebrities aren’t meant to date each other, but it’s happened and they’re not hiding it.”

“The show hasn’t even aired yet but we know the final result.”

Earlier this week, the women were spotted holding hands at the ITV summer party at the NOBU Hotel in Shoreditch. Sims also shared a video of herself grabbing Barton Hanson’s bum on the dancefloor.

Back in June, Barton Hanson, 25, revealed she’d embarked on a same-sex relationship when she was a teenager and that “after the s*** [she’s] been through, [she] just wants to see how it goes with a woman.

“I first fell in love with a girl when I was 16, but it wasn't even in a sexual way. I never saw her just in that way, but we'd like hang out, and one thing led to another.

“We would do everything together. I found her more and more attractive, and not even the way she looked, just like the way she was in general. I just feel like I have a deeper connection with women.

She added: “I think long-term I would get with a woman, but it's hard. I really want kids, so that's something I'd need to look into when the time comes.”

Sims is openly bisexual, having admitted to being attracted to both men and women in one of her first episodes on TOWIE. The 22-year-old was a late addition to this year’s Celebs Go Dating roster, having come on board to help her sister Chloe find love.
