Love Island’s Joey Essex and Jessy put on united front on romantic trip after sparking split fears
Love Island stars Joey Essex and Jessy Potts have been enjoying some time together in London, just days after they left fans fearing that they’d ‘split’.
The couple, who were voted out of the show shortly before the live final, have been making the most out of their time outside of the iconic villa and took a trip to the capital for a lunch date. In a series of snaps uploaded to his Instagram Story on Sunday, 18 August, The Only Way Is Essex ’s Joey gave fans a peek inside the day date as he and Jessy headed out for a bite to eat.

In one picture, 25-year-old Jessy looked sensational as she wore a white and blue floral dress which she paired with some round sunglasses. To finish off the summery look, the TV personality wore her blonde hair tucked behind her ears and sported some dewy make-up.
Meanwhile Joey, 34, looked stylish as he opted for a head to toe black outfit and wore a black leather jacket and jeans. For accessories, he wore some grey trainers and black sunglasses.
The pair’s loved-up outing comes after Joey and Jessy spoke to OK! about their time on the ITV2 show, with Joey responding to speculation that he’d received “special treatment” while in the villa.
“Listen, if that was special treatment – with the journey that I’d been on – I’d love to know what the worst treatment was!,” he said.
He added: “You know what I mean? In this day and age in television, it’s so different to how it was 13 years ago when I started out. You can’t say or do anything. I wore a cap back to front at the final, which I thought looked reem, but I was told I shouldn’t have worn a back-to-front hat. It’s the way it is now.”
During the chat, the duo also opened up about their relationship moving forward and even admitted that they’d spoken about kids. “We both want a big family. But we’re having a bit of a tiff at the moment. She wants four, I want eight. Imagine how great that would be?,” Joey explained.
Joey’s answer left Jessy somewhat surprised. “Oh, my God, eight!? Joey would make a great dad, though, there’s no doubt about that,” she said. In response, he said: “And Jessy would be an amazing mum. We’d be such good parents. I’m ready. I’d do it tomorrow. Maybe even tonight!”
