Love Island fans think Olivia and Zara already knew each other before the show

Following last night's dramatic Love Island episode, eagle-eyed fans have spotted a clue that could indicate Islanders Olivia Hawkins and Zara Lackenby-Brown already knew each other before entering the villa.

The two women were at the centre of one of the more heated moments of last night's (19th January) episode. The Islanders played a game of beer pong and once they got to the end of their drink they were given a dare. These included dares such as 'snog the Islander you fancy the most' and 'snog the three best kissers'.

Zara was given the dare to kiss the cheeks of the Islander she thought was the most two-faced, and she kissed Olivia on the cheek.

Olivia wasn't happy with being called 'two-faced' and later in the episode said she felt 'humiliated' whilst in the beach hut confessional. Later on in the game she hit back at Zara when she was dared to tell a secret, by saying that she wasn't too faced.

Whilst tensions are rising between the two, Love Island fans think the pair actually knew each other before entering the villa.

An eagle-eyed fan had done some digging through Zara's old Instagram posts and found a comment left by Olivia in May 2020.

Zara had posted a picture of herself and Olivia had commented below "Fave photo of you 😍" to which Zara had replied: "@livhawkinss my babes ❤️".

In March 2020 Olivia also left a number of "🔥" emojis on Zara's Instagram picture. And in June 2020 Zara commented on one of Olivia's selfies "Absolutely unreal babes 😍🔥."

Love Island fans were sharing the women's interactions on Twitter with one person tweeting: "Why are Zara and Olivia pretending they don’t know each other? This might explain why Olivia seemed overly offended at Zara calling her two-faced."

Whilst the two appeared to have interacted with each other on Instagram, it's no guarantee they actually knew each other outside of social media or were friends in real life.

Zara and Olivia will appear in tonight's episode of Love Island where we will likely see the aftermath of the fight that broke out between Shaq Muhammad and Haris Namani.

Cosmopolitan has contacted ITV for comment.

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm, for all the latest Love Island merch head to the Love Island Shop.
