Love Island fans have a theory about why Jay Younger is raising doubts about his romance with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, and they might have a point.

This week's episodes have so far seen the public voting for their favourite contestants on the show, with the three least popular men and women being revealed within the villa. For the boys, that was Jay, Andrew and Ikenna, and for the girls, it was Tasha, Ekin-Su and Amber.

After Amber and Ikenna were dumped from the villa, viewers then saw Jay begin to question his coupling up with Ekin, revealing to Gemma Owen that he liked Paige Thorne, and also suggesting Ekin still had a thing for Davide Sanclimenti.

"While everything is great with Ekin, I'm getting the feeling that her and Davide [Sanclimenti] have got unfinished business," he told Gemma.

Now, fans are speculating about the real reason Jay might be voicing his doubts, theorising that it's actually because he thinks being in a couple with Ekin-Su is making him unpopular with the public.

As one fan put it, "Jay wants OUT. He definitely thinks Ekin-Su is dragging down his popularity after the public vote and this guy is mad tactical #LoveIsland"

Another said, "Jay is a manipulator and game player" and "Is Jay just shook cos he wasn’t popular & blames old Ekin for that so is now gunning for the girl who looked the most popular at the start when he was still on the outside, cos corrrrr dems some tactics. [sic]"

Hmm. Considering this is an official Ekin-Su stan account, we're not sure we agree with Jay. Who else would bring the drama if she left?!
