Love Island fans are all saying the same thing about Gemma

Finally. Love Island 2022 is here, and Laura Whitmore has welcomed the 11 new contestants into the villa. And while we were busy writing down everyone's names and trying to remember who's who, social media was all saying the same thing about Gemma Owen.

The international dressage horse rider and business owner from Chester was the fifth girl to enter the villa, following on from Amber, Indiyah, Tasha and Paige. And while fans were obviously obsessed with the contestant, they also couldn't believe her age: 19.

"I refuse to believe I’m the same age as Gemma she seems so much more mature than me hahahaha #LoveIsland," one person wrote, while another put, "No way is Gemma the same age as me wth."

Someone else put, "I just can't believe I'm the same age as Gemma" and a fourth put, "There’s no way Gemma is 19 wtf she’s my age."

Speaking about why she wanted to go on the show, Gemma said in her introductory interview, "I am open to finding love, I’m wanting to have a really fun summer. I was seeing someone and then that didn’t work out so I thought, 'Why not?'

"I would say I’m fun, flirty and fiery. I think I’m good at giving advice, I’m a good person to talk to, I’m very honest. If I want the same guy, I’d do it but in a nice respectful way."
