The baby challenge is a Love Island staple, and fans have been patiently waiting for it to land on the 2021 season.
This week, we finally got what we'd all been hoping for as the remaining couples were given fake (but still pretty demanding) babies to see how they coped. But fans were pretty disappointed with one aspect of the challenge and took to Twitter to call it out.
Each season of Love Island for as long as we can remember has had the iconic baby challenge episode, and it always gets pretty dramatic and hilarious. Last night, the remaining couples of the 2021 series were given their fake bébés (Moira Rose voice) and had to play parent to the little bundles of joy.
There were a *variety* of reactions to the challenge, from Toby dropping his on its head to Faye calling hers a "p**ck", which to most new parents probably felt quite reasonable (not the dropping part).
However, at one point during the challenge the boys all got a text telling them they were going on a dads' day out golfing while the girls had to stay at home with their electronic babies. This, clearly, did not go down well with viewers.

Love Island producers really said no critical thought just stereotypical gender roles by sending the men to play golf while the women looked after babies huh #LoveIsland
