Love Island fans are all confused over the same recoupling detail

It's official: Love Island 2022 is the proud owner of the most dramatic recoupling EVER, after the girls returned from Casa Amor to find out whether their previous partner from the main villa had recoupled, and vice versa.

And while there was good news for Luca and Gemma and Jay and Danica, things were a little more complicated for Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack, and fans are all confused about the same detail.

Wow. You'd be forgiven for needing to watch last night's Love Island [7th July] more than once, thanks to how much drama went down. One particularly chaotic scene came from Dami and Indiyah, who both chose to recouple during Casa Amor.

Dami is now coupled up with Summer Botwe, a 22-year-old from Hertfordshire, while Indiyah is now with 25-year-old Deji Adeniyi from Bedford. So far, so normal.

But one thing Love Island fans are a bit confused about is why Dami was so taken aback that Indiyah had recoupled during Casa Amor, despite the fact he had done so too.

As one fan put it, "Dami looked angry because he wanted to be THAT guy. He wanted her to be there crying and broken like a Millie [Court, from Love Island 2021] or a Georgia [Steel from Love Island 2018]. Indiyah is not that girl! #LoveIsland"

Someone else said, "I don't understand what Dami wanted her to come back by herself?? Him sniggering was so weird to me I'm bamboozled truly #loveisland"

A third added, "How does Dami have the audacity to be pissed off #LoveIsland" and "Where did Dami find the audacity to act like Indiyah broke his heart while sat next to the girl he started kissing 20 minutes after Indiyah left the villa???"

One thing's for sure: we're cancelling all our evening plans to see how this plays out.
