On Thursday's (July 8) episode of Love Island, the contestants took part in the Line of Booty challenge. But the game caused a major stir amongst viewers, and no, it wasn't because Chloe Burrows picked Toby Aromolaran for a kiss despite being coupled up with Kaz Kamwi.

In the challenge, the girls picked the boy they wanted to take part before giving them a kiss and sending them to jail. But while some of the lads (Brad McClelland, Toby Aromolaran and Liam Reardon) were picked twice, PE teacher Hugo Hammond was left on the sidelines after no one chose him.

When he joined the boys at the end of the challenge, he said he felt "humiliated" and later added "It was sad to see someone left out. It was brutal."

After the challenge, viewers quickly took to socials to express their upset over fan-favourite Hugo being left out. Some fans of the show even vowed to complain to TV regulator Ofcom over the ordeal.

"IM CALLING OFCOM WHY HAVE THEY DONE THIS TO HUGO #loveisland" tweeted one viewer, "Nah at this point this is bullying. I鈥檓 calling Ofcom for my man Hugo," added another, while a third wrote "Legit feel like writing a letter of complaint to Love Island and OFCOM about poor Hugo #LoveIsland."

"These girls out here embarrassing my boyfriend Hugo on Love Island 馃槶馃槶 I鈥檓 gonna complain to Ofcom," wrote another viewer, "If Hugo gets left out one more time I鈥檓 ringing Ofcom 馃槶馃槶馃槶" someone else tweeted, with another saying "Hugo left out again. I am writing to Ofcom #LoveIsland."

While it seems Hugo has been unlucky in love in the villa so far this season, at least he has the whole of Twitter rooting for him.

Love Island continues tonight at 10pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
