Love Island fans can't get over Lillie calling out Liam

Last night’s Love Island sent shockwaves through the villa – not to mention our hearts – as the boys returned from Casa Amor.

In Thursday night’s episode, both Toby Aromolaran and Hugo Hammond returned to the villa and revealed that they’d coupled up with someone new: Toby with Mary Bedford and Hugo with Amy Day, leaving Abi Rawkins (who was previously coupled up with Toby) single, and Chloe Burrows happily coupled up with Casa Amor new boy, Dale Mehmet.

However it was last night’s episode (30 July 2021) that really bought the drama. Prior to Casa Amor, Liam Reardon and Millie Court seemed like one of the strongest couples. This all changed after Liam started shared a bed with Lillie Haynes, with fans speculating that he even gave her Millie's 'Sagittarius' necklace.

Cue one of the most dramatic recouplings of all time. After a fairly explosive reunion between Tyler and Kaz – not to mention an emotional exchange between Faye and Teddy – it was Millie's turn to find out if Liam had chosen to return alone.

After Liam did return on his own (holding Millie's necklace), Millie was clearly very relieved, saying she was "over the moon." This all changed when Laura Whitmore invited the remaining Casa Amor girls – including Lillie Haynes – into the main villa.

Lillie quickly raised the stakes by saying she was "shocked" at the recoupling, saying, "I feel like I had a good connection the second I got in there, and I feel like it was very reciprocated... very fifty/fifty...and I'm just really surprised I'm standing here right now." She then admitted it was Liam who she'd connected with in Casa Amor.

It's fair to say, Twitter was pretty impressed by her calling out Liam:

Anyone else still in shock?

Love Island continues on Sunday 1 August at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVHub.
