Loulou Robert: The Hot New Model To Watch!

Grazia4 May 2012

It’s always pretty exciting when a new model hits the Fashion world, especially when they are immediately snapped up by Dutch photographer duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Known for their landmark advertising campaigns, visionary editorials, iconic Hollywood portraiture and groundbreaking films the pair are notorious for snapping up newcomers and kick starting their careers. Back in 2000 when Eniko Mihalik chose her to shoot exclusively for them, she quickly became the hottest name in fashion.  So when French model LouLou appeared on the Spring issue of V magazine – we all took note. Nineteen year old Loulou is also soon to be announced as the face of a prestigious fashion brand which usually chooses one of the hottest model names to front their brand.

Not bad for the girl who says she didn’t have many friends at school and was mocked because of her name huh! Though she still counts herself very lucky to have had such an amazing start to her career that only began as she was so shy and found student life very overwhelming. At 5’ 7.5’’ Loulou is shorter than most models limiting her career to editorial work instead of catwalk shows but from the girl who’s ambition is simply to be a writer, we think she’ll be putting that one on the back burner for a while!
