When Kim Kardashian posted a carousel of glowing Instagram photos on Monday to promote her skincare brand, SKKN BY KIM, fans were not convinced that her flawless complexion was actually a result of the line.
The 43-year-old media personality and entrepreneur showed off her immaculate skin in the slides, crediting “@skkn for the win” in her caption. However, many of Kardashian’s 363 million followers were not buying it.
“Kim, we can see the makeup AND the editing,” one person wrote in the comments.
“Skincare or a good dermatologist?” someone else inquired.
“You literally can see the bronzer/blush on your skin… and let’s not forget the intentional use of grainy filter to create “real” skin,” another user observed. “This ain’t it .”
Plenty of others were more positive, however, commending Kardashian as “The [most] beautiful inside and out 😍🥰🤍✨,” and noting “We love a fresh faced Kimmie 😍😊.”
Kardashian launched SKKN BY KIM in the summer of 2022. The brand carries nine flagship products that are meant to hydrate and nourish, from cleansers to serums to creams. The mom of four told Elite Daily that she was inspired to launch her own skincare brand after being diagnosed with psoriasis.
“It was such a catalyst for my journey of skin care discoveries,” she told the outlet. “Now it’s so important for my peace of mind to know I’m taking the best care of my skin. It’s also such a relaxing time to have to myself when I’m applying my products.”
