Lorraine Kelly has shared her worries with fans after going up two dress sizes due to comfort eating.

The presenter, 62, revealed in a post on Twitter that she felt "unhealthy" and "tired with no stamina", as she asked social media users for advice.

She wrote: "Anyone else feeling tired with no stamina? Apart from taking [her dog] Angus for a walk, I’m not exercising enough. Comfort eating and gone up 2 dress sizes.

"Feeling unhealthy - need a kickstart in New Year. I’ve always said no to diets but any sensible suggestions?"

The Lorraine show host's post struck a chord with fans, who left more than 5,100 'likes', with many leaving comments.

While several encouraged her to get back into exercise, some suggested that she may have be feeling "exhaustion" from the uncertainty of the pandemic and to be "kind" to herself.

The mother-of-one has previously spoken about going from a size 14 to a size 10.

On This Morning last year, she said "I don't think diets work", before noting that "portion control and not snacking so much are important, as well as being sensible".

The TV star has also opened up about the topic to The Sun's Fabulous magazine, revealing: "I have learned the hard way that daft diets will ultimately make you fat.

"I do tend to eat sensibly during the week, but I certainly don't exist on sticks of celery, because I'd be miserable.

"We are all far more likely to stick to a healthy eating plan if we have proper tasty food, and won't drop out of an exercise routine if it's good fun."

In 2018, she launched a body confidence series Work It Out on her ITV programme.
