TV presenter Lorraine Kelly called Britney Spears' ex-husband Jason Alexander a 'total arse' for trying to ruin the pop star's nuptials to Sam Asghari, much to her viewers delight.

Video transcript

LORRAINE KELLY: Poor Britney. She can't even get married and have a lovely time without drama happening around about her.

- Exactly. And I have a little bit of drama as well. Angus, eat your heart out. How's this? I've got a little gatecrasher as well. Look at this. Young David Stewart, the man who's written hits like BTS's "Dynamite" and "What A Man Gotta Do" for The Jonas Brothers, he's rushed into the studio. I am now dog sitting. I wasn't meant to be on tonight, but Mr-- Mr. Baby here is making his first television appearance--

LORRAINE KELLY: Oh, he's so cute.

- --of what I'm sure of many, yeah?

- See, he's gatecrashed as well. Just sit there carefully when I tell you. Yeah, so Britney's first husband Jason Alexander crashed the wedding earlier on in the day. I mean, poor Britney. I mean, this is the man that she was married to for like 55 hours back in 2004. He was arrested at the singer's home. He is being charged is what I'm hearing as well.

But he managed to do it on Instagram Live taking you through bits of the home, shouting out, "Where's Britney at? She's my first wife, my only wife. I'm her first husband. I'm here to crash the wedding." So as I said, he has been arrested. He is going to be charged as well. But poor Britney. I mean, again, enough drama in her life. She didn't need this on her wedding day. But hey ho. Things then continued a little bit better.

LORRAINE KELLY: Good. I'm glad about that. For goodness sake. I mean, what a total arse doing that to Britney. I mean, really? When he was married to her for a minute and a half. He's obviously after publicity. I'm quite annoyed that we're talking about him actually now that I come to think of it.
