Lorraine Kelly shared a peek into her garden this week (8 January) with a glimpse of snowdrop flowers in bloom.
The ITV presenter took to Instagram to share a snap of the snowdrops growing in her garden with perfectly formed white flower buds hanging over green leaves.
In a caption alongside the photo Lorraine said the snowdrops had provided, "a wee bit of hope in the garden,” adding that they were a sign that “things will get better!”
She included hashtags reading “hope”, “spring is coming” and “happy” in the optimistic post for the new year ahead.
Famous friends including Loose Women presenter Christine Lampard liked the post while many of Lorraine’s 462,000 followers were quick to comment on the post.
“So lovely to see these beautiful little January flowers,” wrote one follower, while another added that discovering a snowdrop “always brings hope, such a fragile wee flower can bloom in the harshest of weather.”
As well as sharing a look into her own garden, Lorraine recently posted a short video of a bird discovered during a nature walk with her dog, Angus.
Lorraine shared the clip to ask her followers and in particular, Dr Amir Khan, for help identifying the bird, which she guessed was an egret.
Dr Amir replied to her post saying, “definitely a little egret! What a beauty!” while many of her followers added their own comments confirming the identification saying, “lovely little egret,” and “beautiful little bird.”
