Lorraine Kelly enjoyed her first post-lockdown drink with her daughter Rosie, as the pubs reopened yesterday (12 April).

Presenter Lorraine enjoyed a socially distanced pint outdoors with her daughter Rosie Kelly Smith yesterday, as pubs in England were able to welcome customers again if they could offer outdoor seating.

To mark the occasion, Lorraine shared a grinning selfie on her Instagram page.

She posted the happy, fresh-faced picture outside The Horse and Groom pub in Belgravia, London, declaring in the caption, “the pubs are OPEN!”

On Rosie’s Instagram story, she even shared a clip of her mum doing a shot - although it doesn’t look like Lorraine enjoys it too much and she grimaces as she finishes it off.

Rosie added the caption, “happy pubs reopen day!” and tagged her mum, Lorraine, who shared the same video to her own story.

Followers shared in their fun as Lorraine’s selfie post received more than 25,000 likes and comments of support.

“You all deserve a drink!” said one commenter, while another added it was “marvellous and refreshing” to see “Lorraine keeping it real [with] no filters,” referring to the natural-looking and seemingly un-retouched selfie shared by Lorraine.

Like many others across the country, the mother and daughter looked happy to be enjoying each other’s company out in public again.

Rosie used to live in Singapore and Lorraine has previously spoken about the difficulties of not being able to see her daughter in person, especially during what has been such a difficult 12 months for so many.

Luckily, the pair have been reunited and Rosie is living in Buckinhamgshire with her parents where the family have been isolating.
