Lorraine Kelly has revealed that she proposed to her husband Steve some 28 years ago - but "can't really remember" the exact moment.

Who says romance is dead, eh?!

The TV presenter made the admission during a Good Morning Britain teaser for Lorraine this week, as she spoke with hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard about romantic marriage proposals ahead of Valentine's Day.

When Lorraine said she would be speaking to a couple who became engaged after just three weeks of dating, Ben asked Lorraine how her hubby had popped the question.

"Do you know what?" she began. "I think I asked! I think it was me! Isn't that awful. I can't really remember it. But I'm sure I was sitting one night and I said, 'Do you know what? I think we should.' It was one of those.

"It wasn't very romantic! But actually that doesn't matter."

Kate quipped: "I like the fact that he's well-trained and does what he's told from the get-go."

Ben laughed: "It wasn't even a question, was it?"

Lorraine recently marked her 28th wedding anniversary last year, sharing a photo of herself and Steve looking very loved-up as they left their wedding ceremony in Scotland.

"So this happened 28 years ago! Happy anniversary to my husband Steve who makes me laugh and is always in my corner," Lorraine captioned the picture.

The couple have a daughter together, 26-year-old Rosie.

Meanwhile, Ben revealed his original Valentine's Day gift for wife of 25 years Annie, which will be a cocktail he has created especially for her.
