Sharing the news in her Sunday Mirror column, Saira revealed 2020 allowed her to reflect on her life and re-evaluate her priorities, leading to her decision to say goodbye to Loose Women.
"So I start this new year by saying goodbye to Loose Women. After five years of being a regular panellist, I’ve decided to give up my seat to another woman who will benefit from the platform as I did," she wrote.
"It was a difficult decision, but when you feel there is nothing left to share on a show that is all about sharing, it’s time to bow out."
The star added that she now hopes to focus on pursuing other projects, continuing to run her skincare business, Saira Skin, and further developing her love of wellness.
Following the publication of her column, Saira took to Instagram to thank her fellow Loose Women stars and revealed she won't return to the show for a final episode.
"I will miss the great women who have become my very close friends. I feel honoured and privileged to have sat alongside them and learnt from them," Saira wrote in her Instagram caption.
She added: "I don’t like formal goodbyes, so I won’t be on the show to look back at my “best bits”. That’s not how I want to say goodbye."
Saira also shared who she'd like to see take her seat on the panel, she wrote: "I’d love my @loosewomen seat to be given to either a gay, transgender or non-binary person - that will help the show to be more reflective of the world we live in. That’s what I would do if I was in charge."
We look forward to seeing what Saira does next!
