The stage is set, and the Super Bowl LVIII matchup has been determined. On Feb. 11, the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will face off for the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The Big Game has a lot of significance—including the fact that the teams faced off on the big stage as recently the 2020 Super Bowl, when the 49ers lost to the Chiefs 31-20.
But more importantly for many fans who find themselves new to the “Chiefs Kingdom”—namely the thousands of Taylor Swift fans who have started watching to support her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce—the game is another opportunity to witness sweet moments shared by the pair in (potential) post-game celebrations. Though Swift is resuming “The Eras Tour” just a few days before the Super Bowl, fans are hopeful that she will make an appearance.
Likewise hopeful, we would image, is Brittany Mahomes. She and Swift have become fast friends this season following the pop sensation’s debut at Chiefs games in the fall. They are close enough, in fact, that they have been spotted on multiple occasions grabbing dinner together in New York City over the past weeks and months. Plus, they can always be found together in the family box at Chiefs games.
To that end, Mahomes just shared a couple of photos of the pair posing together in the stands following the team’s 17-10 victory over the Ravens in the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Jan. 28. In the snaps, the pair wore Chiefs hats that read “Conference Championships” across the front. We have no doubt that Mahomes is hoping to have Swift by her side for the Big Game, too.
