While a few of the rescue animals will need a bit of training, all of them will need loving and dedicated owners who can provide them with a safe and comfortable place to live.
In return these four-legged friends will provide companionship and an opportunity for exercise that their new families might not otherwise have had.
Hela, a husky cross breed, is one year and 10 months old. She gets on well other dogs, loves to play but is shy until she gets to know people. Eve is a six-year-old foxhound who is very clever and friendly with both humans and other dogs. She will need to be trained to sit nicely and to learn how to play. Luna is just over three years old and a lurcher type. She is very active but will need some basic training that includes learning how to play, that it's okay to be left alone and she may also require some behavioural support. Three crocodiles saved a dog seeking refuge in a river - in a possible display of "emotional empathy". A report published in the Journal of Threatened Taxa outlines how a young dog was observed being chased by a pack of feral dogs and entered the shallow waters of the Savitri River, in India's Maharashtra. The dog had not spotted the three mugger crocodiles floating nearby, which began edging closer to what appeared to be certain prey.
