Little Moons Mochi Ice Cream Is TikTok's Latest Trend (And We're Obsessed)

From Delish

Yes, it might be minus temperatures outside, and yes we might have promised ourselves we'd cut down on sugar for the new year, but will that stop us from eating new and delicious forms (and flavours) of ice cream? Never. Especially if it's Little Moons Mochi Ice Cream (which might we add, is popping off on social media right now).

If you don't already know, Little Moons creates insanely-delicious balls of 'soft mochi and gelato ice cream.' They come in a variety of flavours including Passionfruit & Mango, Creamy Coconut and Honey Roasted Pistachio, and they are the definition of Heaven...

Little Moons Mochi Ice Cream has been around for a while, but some people are only just hearing about it. The hashtag #littlemoons has recently racked up 24.7 million views and counting on TikTok, and there are thousands of people searching for the little Japanese snacks on Google.

But, what actually is mochi? Japanese mochi is a rice cake made of a short-grain rice called mochigome, along with other ingredients such as water, sugar and cornstarch. The rice is then pounded into a paste and moulded into the desired shape. And in this case, it's little balls of goodness!

BUY NOW
