Perrie Edwards shares first picture of newborn son and reveals his name
Little Mix's Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have shared the first picture of their newborn son after welcoming their first child together last month.
Along with the sweet shot, the couple also revealed their baby boy's name - Axel Oxlade-Chamberlain.
"2 weeks of loving you. I’ve never felt love like this before! Axel Oxlade-Chamberlain," the singer wrote alongside their son swaddled in a blanket.
The name reveal comes a few weeks after Perrie and footballer Alex took to social media to inform fans they'd welcomed their boy. "Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21 ♥️," Perrie shared on Instagram on 22nd August 2021.
Alex added: "Welcome to the world little one 😍❤️ 21/08/21"
The comments were filled with love for the pair. Laura Whitmore wrote, "Welcome baby! ❤️❤️❤️" while fans added, "OMG!!" and "Congratulations you two."
Back in May, just days after Leigh-Anne Pinnock revealed she was expecting her first child with Andre Gray, Perrie, 28, took to social media to share that she is also pregnant with her first child.
"So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate," the singer wrote. "Me + Him = You 🌎♥️ We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!"
Alex added, "Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies? 😅 so grateful and excited to become a dad ❤️ bring on the sleepless nights 🤪"
Perrie and Alex first started dating in November 2017, and have been sharing insights into their relationship on social media ever since. Alex, also 28, is a professional footballer for Liverpool, and took to social media to share the same photos as Perrie, with a sweet caption of his own.
So happy for these two and their adorable arrival.
