Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock responds to birthday party criticism

From Cosmopolitan

Leigh-Anne Pinnock from Little Mix turned 29 this week, and as well as celebrating with a mighty balloon decoration in her home, the singer went out for a lavish dinner with pals.

Something which, according to some fans on Twitter, broke current coronavirus rules - including meeting up with no more than five other people at a time. Critics took to Twitter to question whether the singer had actually been hanging out with more people.

"I love Leigh-Anne but throwing a huge party with too many guests is just a big no in the middle of a pandemic," one wrote, while another added, "Wait Leigh-Anne threw a party for her birthday ? Was it a closed place ? Oh-"

A third said, "Don’t tell me Leigh-Anne is giving a birthday party," and another put, "Is Leigh-Anne breaking rules with her party celebrations?"

While the singer did share an insight into her dinner celebrations on social media, showing her sat at a table with friends and drinking Champagne, her representative has spoken out to insist she stuck to all guidelines.

They said:

"Leigh sat in a group of six people at the restaurant, and they were not in a private room. The people you see in the background of this video are not her friends and not part of her group."

Well, that settles that, then.
