I don't know about you, but part of my ongoing obsession with Little Mix rests in admiration of the way the gals are able to switch between (and pull off) so many different vibes, hair wise.

Take Leigh-Anne Pinnock and her gorgeous butterfly locs, for example. Or Perrie Edwards' short Sandra-D hair, or former Little Mix-er Jesy and her incred natural curls, which she recently had cut into a brilliantly bouncy shag.

The latest transformation, however, comes from Jade Thirwall, who has just traded in her near-signature blonde panelling for the richest, loveliest chocolate brown hue.

All-over dark hair colour - especially DIY style - is having a bit of a moment right now, possibly because we're all at the end of our tether when it comes to tolerating our root regrowth.

Where bleaching, highlighting, and even trimming your hair at home is pretty high-stakes and requires a certain amount of research and skill, there's less to go wrong when it comes to colouring your hair darker - especially because there's no peroxide involved.

So, while the hair-highlighters among us have put up with borderline ombre hair for a while now, it seems some of waving a white flag and climbing aboard the lower-maintenance lifestyle of the all-over hair colour.

Obviously, Jades' transformation is expertly executed (unlike my own at-home attempts). But chances are it's wayyy easier to maintain at home than a head of blonde highlights, no?

Side note: anyone else obsessed with her lilac eyeshadow?

The gal can pull off literally anything.
