Little Mix branded 'disgusting role models' over raunchy video for Think About Us
Little Mix fans have been left divided over the band’s video for new single Think About Us, with some comparing it to “soft porn”.
Stills from the video show the four singers – Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards – scantily dressed and in seductive positions.
The band, who were formed on The X Factor, have been teasing fans with snippets from the video ahead of its release tomorrow.
Some are less than impressed with the BRIT award-nominated group and blasted them for becoming “disgusting role models”.
Kinda forced @andregray_ to be cringe with me in the new video 🙈🥰😂 #ThinkAboutUs

One wrote: “You lot are disgusting role models for young girls/women, how's about keeping your clothes on for a change, so much for girl power.”
A second posted: “Are you serious your meant to be aimed at teenagers far too much can’t bare my girls look up to you girls surely you have a role to play and it’s def not in this way.”
Another commented: “Why did they sexualize the video?”

However, others were quick to defend the group who are no strangers to hitting back at critics themselves.
“Lol @LittleMix are not even making themselves sex objects. They can dress how they want and dance the way they want cause they’re f****** confident. It’s embracing and accepting your own body,” scolded somebody.
Another user wrote: “Ooft all the teasers of Little Mix's think about us look hot n spicy yass queens.”

One teaser shows a half-dressed Pinnock draped over her footballer boyfriend Andre Gray while other shots show Nelson cosying up to a male extra.
Last year, Nelson slammed Piers Morgan for accusing the band of “using sex to sell records” when they stripped off to promote their album and music video for Strip.
“Oh god these people,” he said on Good Morning Britain. “What is empowering about this? I mean seriously – get your kit off, airbrush yourself to within one inch of your lives and put a bunch of horrible words on yourself.
“What’s the point of it other than using nudity to sell albums? It’s stripping off to sell records. It’s using sex to sell records – that’s it there’s nothing else to that. I don’t get it.”
Nelson later took the airwaves on Radio 1, calling him a “silly t***”.
Stars including Ariana Grande and her mother defended the group against Morgan's remarks.
Think About Us is out on Friday.
