Like so many of us, Lisa Faulkner was buzzing with excitement at the prospect of heading back into the salon after months without a visit to her hairdresser.

Chatting to her followers on Instagram Stories on Wednesday (15 July), the former EastEnders star revealed that she was about to head off for her first post-lockdown hair appointment to have her colour touched-up post-lockdown.

Sharing a snap of her 'before' hair, the 48-year-old wrote excitedly in Stories, "Say goodbye to the roots!" with an arrow pointing to her regrowth.

The former Celebrity Masterchef contestant then shared an 'after' shot, showcasing her newly highlighted blonde hair, which looked stunning after her trip to Neville Hair & Beauty salon in London's Belgravia.

"Am blonde again!" she wrote over the photo on Stories, before thanking the salon for her new 'do.

Taking to Stories again as she walked out of the hairdressers, a smiling Lisa told followers: "So, I’m blonde!"

She ran through her salon experience and the new safety guidelines that have put in place since hairdressers reopened in England on 4 July, revealing that it all went smoothly. "And it was so lovely in there and really safe and, yeah, I was really impressed with Neville's and how it's all clean and all sanitised, and everything's got its own section."

She continued: "And you have to wear plastic things, and you have to put your bag in another bag, so I felt really safe, which is brilliant in this world of weirdness.

"And I'm blonde – yay!"

We're loving the fresh look, Lisa!
