Lisa Armstrong was spotted enjoying some quality time with pals, seemingly unfazed by the reports that she's gearing up for a legal battle over the pet dog she co-owns with her ex-husband, Ant McPartlin.

The make-up artist, 47, was all smiles during the bank holiday weekend. Despite the chatter about a potential dog custody dispute over their beloved chocolate Labrador, Hurley, Lisa seemed to be in high spirits as she partied with her friends.

Dressed to impress in chic black lace trousers paired with a low-cut floral top, Lisa shone brightly as she and her friends attended a So Oxford event. She also shared an inspiring message on her Instagram Stories, posting: "If it makes you happy then it's not a waste of time."

Since her split from Ant in 2018, the former couple have been sharing custody of Hurley. But now it seems that there might be a shift in regards to this arrangement.

Amidst these developments, Lisa has occasionally hinted at the changes in Ant's life post-divorce. Ant moved on with his former PA Anne-Marie Corbett, tying the knot in 2021, and this year they celebrated the arrival of their first child together, reports the Mirror.

Fans have been quick to speculate that Lisa's recent social media activity might be a subtle nod to her feelings about her ex's joyful announcement. One of the quotes she posted read: "Be proud of how you have been handling these past few months. The silent battles you've fought, the moments you've had to humble yourself, the times you've wiped your own tears. Celebrate your strength."

She also shared a poignant quote from Winston Churchill: "I no longer listen to what people say, I just watch what they do. Behaviour never lies."

And recently there have been whispers that Lisa is gearing up for showdown with Ant over who gets to keep their beloved dog. The makeup maestro, who pocketed a rumoured £31 million from her divorce settlement, has been finding solace in her furry friend.

An insider told The Sun: "She felt very betrayed by both Ant and Anne-Marie and felt that none of this has been handled sensitively, especially the announcement of the baby. She's really been through it all in the past seven years and sometimes she amazes herself how strong she's been.

"But the one thing that has got her through it and been by her side constantly is Hurley she doesn't know what she would do without him. He's more than just a dog to her and has been a lifeline at times."
