Anna Maxwell Martin, who plays the notorious Patricia Carmichael in Line Of Duty, has responded to claims her character might be The Fourth Man, aka 'H'.

Line Of Duty fans have got their suspicious faces on, and have been speculating about each and every character who might have OCG links. Not only do they suspect Chris Lomax, but they're also theorising about Patricia Carmichael.

A number of clues point to the Detective Chief Superintendent being bent. Not only does she have it in for AC-12, but there was also a specific scene in the penultimate episode, where fans noticed her tapping her fingers on the table.

Eagle-eyed viewers think she was making morse code for the letter 'H', which is similar to what Dot Cottan aka The Caddy did in series three, when he blew the police corruption case wide open.

Now, Anna Maxwell Martin, who plays Patricia, has responded to the theory on This Morning, addressing whether she might be 'H' or tied up in the OCG. "I think I was just bored because those scenes are very long," she said of the finger tapping.

"I think I was just like, 'What am I saying next?'"

Hmm, sounds a bit suspicious to us. Other fans have pointed out how "race claims", which were at the centre of Gail Vella's investigation into the police, is an anagram of 'Carmichael' without the H. Surely that can't be a coincidence?
