Vicky McClure's new drama has an official release date on ITVX, ITV's free upcoming streaming platform.

Without Sin – a four-part psychological thriller starring the Line of Duty actress and Johnny Harris – will be available on ITVX from December 28. The service, launching on December 8, will stream other original content, including Cold War drama A Spy Among Friends.

Created by Frances Poletti, Without Sin follows grieving mother Stella Tomlinson (McClure), three years after the murder of her teenage daughter. Estranged from her husband Paul, who still lives in the family home, Stella mostly works overnight as an Uber driver.

When the department of Restorative Justice contacts her, she reunites with Paul to listen to a taped recording of Charles (Harris), their daughter's killer who they think wants to apologise.

Following this development, Stella returns to her roots in the Millfields estate, surrounded by the people she loves, and decides to take things with Charles one step further.

The protagonist agrees to visit the prison alongside a Restorative Justice Mediator, thus coming face to face with the killer. But, as the official synopsis suggests, she is not ready to hear what Charles has to say next.

The series, filmed in Nottingham and Shrewsbury last autumn, also stars Dorothy Atkinson as Stella's mother Jessie.

"To be filming in my hometown is a dream come true," McClure said in 2021.

"I am also thrilled to be working once again with my good friend, and one of the UK's finest actors, Johnny Harris, along with members of Nottingham's The Television Workshop."

Without Sin will premiere on ITVX on December 28.
