Line Of Duty stars Vicky McClure and Martin Compston have said they want to shoot another series because the last one was made amid the COVID pandemic and they wouldn't want to end it like that.Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Friday (10 June), the pair were asked if fans would get another instalment from AC-12.
- Three of you would be straight back if Jed can be persuaded and can write a new series.
VICKY MCCLURE: Yeah, we don't go back. Is that what you said? Sorry. Yeah, yeah.
MARTIN COMPSTON: No, you don't.
- You'd all do it? That's what we're asking.
VICKY MCCLURE: Yeah, of course-- we-- listen. We adore working with each other. We adore working with, you know, Jed's writing is phenomenal. We've been working together for over 10 years now.
And, you know, the last series was incredible in terms of the response that we got. But it was really quite tough to shoot. Obviously, it was within COVID, so it'd be lovely to go back and, you know, not sort of end on that kind of-- on that kind of way.
