*Warning – Line of Duty series six spoilers ahead.

After seven stressful weeks of shoot outs, OCGs, bent coppers and guest stars, Line of Duty series six has come to a close – with 12.8 million of us tuning in to see who would be revealed as the notorious H – or the Fourth Man.

The record-breaking series featured all our favourite familiar faces, DI Steve Arnott, (Martin Compston) DI Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) the one and only Superintendent Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar), plus new characters Jo Davidson (Kelly MacDonald) and newest recruit DC Chloe Bishop (Shalom Brune-Franklin).

Chloe proved to be AC-12’s secret weapon and Shalom, who bought the eager new police officer to life, spoke to Stylist magazine about her role in Jed Mercurio’s drama.

After the series finale revealed the identity of H was Buckells, the episode ended with Ted facing forced retirement, Steve being taken off active service and Kate in therapy.

'It’s looking bleak isn’t it?', said Shalom. 'To say the least it’s not looking great. They’re not having the best time!'

Thankfully, it’s not all doom and gloom with Shalom going on to say, 'I feel like Jed can do anything. I remember thinking at the end of series five: how is it going to continue? I just couldn’t imagine how that was going to pick itself back up again. And then it does. I think Jed is pretty much capable of bringing anything around.'

While she wouldn’t be drawn on if there will be a series seven, Shalom did confirm if she would return if asked back, saying, 'Yes! I would be crazy not to!'

The actress is currently filming a new BBC thriller The Tourist in Australia with Jamie Dornan, so it won’t be long before she’s back on our screens again.
