Line Of Duty fans have suddenly found Ian Buckells at the middle of their investigation into who 'H' is. Here's what you need to know about his Line Of Duty history.

We first meet Ian Buckells in Line Of Duty season 1 where he's appointed the SIO in the case of Jackie Laverty's disappearance, when Tony Gates is taken off the case. It's the same series where we're introduced to Ryan Pilkington, aka BMX boy, who supplied DCI Tony Gates with burner phones and tried to cut off Steve Arnott's fingers .

It was Buckells decision not to take any further action against Ryan (feels suspicious now, huh?) at the time, while many were suspicious over his connections to Tony Gates.

Buckells later replaced DCI Roz Huntley on Operation Trapdoor after AC-12 tried to have her removed in season four. Looks like a pattern emerging with him being put onto cases with corrupt officers.. He then recognised Kate Fleming, who was undercover at the time, and when her identity was leaked, many assumed it was via him.

During series six, Buckells is responsible for Deborah Devereux's false testimony, linking Terry Boyle to the murder of journalist Gail Vella, in order to cover up Carl Banks' involvement.

Buckells is imprisoned when Jo Davidson and Kate Fleming discover missing Operation Lighthouse files in the boot of his car, though there's a theory that Jo actually framed him.

Fans saw Ian Buckells brought in to AC-12 during the Line Of Duty season finale when they picked up the 'definately' spelling error in Buckells' case files relating to the Lawrence Christopher case.
