Line Of Duty fans have a new theory about who H is, and it makes sense
With each week that goes by, Line Of Duty fans hope to be one step closer to unveiling who 'H' - or 'The Fourth Man' - is.
Last night's episode saw Jo Davidson's "partial DNA match" revealed as Tommy Banks as well as a tense stand off between Ryan Pilkington and Kate Fleming, as AC-12 continue their search for Gail Vella's murderer (and bent coppers).
What it also saw is social media explode with theories about who 'H' is - the notorious senior police officer who is heavily embedded in organised crime. While some clues have pointed to Ted Hastings and others to Kate, a new theory suggests Patricia Carmichael could actually be who we're looking for.
Is Patricia Carmichael 'H' from Line Of Duty?
First things first, the Detective Chief Superintendent seems on a mission to shut AC-12 as we know it down. Seems suspicious, considering the fact they're closer than ever to unmasking the OCG head honcho, no?
Another fan theory notes that Jimmy Lakewell, who gave DI Steve Arnott some more information about what Gail Vella was looking into, could've secretly pointed towards Patricia.
"Look deeper into the race claim," Jimmy told Steve, in a nod towards a motive in Gail's murder. Someone on Twitter pointed out that the letters in "race claim" added to "H" is an anagram for "Carmichael".
Woah. Is that a coincidence? Surely not.

@Cparks1976 I think Carmichael is H. Jimmy Lakewell told Steve to look more into the race claim. Take away Raceclaim from Carmichael and what do you have left....

Carmichael has never been a fan of Ted Hastings and his AC-12 unit, and has always seemed a little too big for her boots in her role in the force. Maybe she's hiding some OCG links behind the scenes.. Hmm.
