We spent all week worrying about Kate Fleming after that shoot-out cliffhanger, but within seconds of last night's episode (S6 E6) we discovered that not only was she totally fine, but she had shot and killed Ryan Pilkington (where was the blood?) and fled the scene with Jo Davidson and was trying to persuade her to inform on the OCG.
The pair were quickly caught after it was revealed that Carmichael and the Chief Superintendent had trackers put on all AC-12 vehicles - which in itself feels a bit dodgy.
Davidson and Fleming were both arrested, although Fleming was later released, and Davidson was brought in for a classic AC-12 interview with Hastings, Arnott and importantly Carmichael, who fans are convinced is the elusive 'H' after her suspicious behaviour during the interview scene.
Throughout Davidson's questioning Carmichael seemed all too keen to avoid questions on the OCG and particularly on police involvement with the OCG: often shutting down Hastings' questions on the topic and repeatedly denying that police corruption existed.
The fact that the person who is about to be in charge of the entire anti-corruption unit across the whole police force just outright denies police corruption is just a little too convenient for fans.
Plus, if that wasn't enough, some fans have suggested that she seemed to be using her pen to tap out messages to Davidson in morse code during the interrogation. Many fans noticed her repeatedly tapping her pen four times against the desk during the interview, spelling out 'H' in morse code, just as Dot Cottan did during his dying declaration back in season four.
Since episode five there have been more and more theories surrounding Carmichael possibly being the mysterious 'H', and this one does feel pretty convincing...
