Former professional alpine skier Lindsey Vonn made her way to the Midwest this past weekend. She brought her fabulous sense of style with her, dressing more than appropriately for an evening in Kansas. At an event in Wichita, Kans., the 39-year-old stepped out in what can only be described as cowgirl chic, the most apt styling for a fashion moment in the middle of the country.
The athlete wore deep blue flared denim pants, a floral blouse and a fabulous teal overcoat. To that, she added a tan cowgirl hat, thick brown leather belt and a pair of square-toed brown leather boots.
“Went to Wichita for a fundraiser and almost came home with another dog,” she wrote in the caption, joking about the first and second photos in the carousel, in which she held a tiny Golden Retriever puppy in her arms and gave it the sweetest kiss on the head. Knowing how much she loves her dogs, we’re surprised the puppy didn’t end up on the plane home with her.
“Oh boy. I can’t believe the will power. Impressive. Highly impressive,” her friend and follower Amy Griffin wrote of her ability to leave without the cute animal.
“You should have brought the pup home!! He is cute♥️♥️🥰,” another wrote.
Puppy obsession aside, Vonn had a successful and stylish weekend. Needless to say, she fully embraced the local Midwestern style while in Kansas for her evening plans—and she rocked the look.
