American carmaker Lincoln have revealed their car of the future - the striking, self-driving Lincoln Model L100. The Model L100 pays homage to its classic 1922 Model L – Lincoln’s first luxury vehicle – but with updated looks and technology fit for the information age. Joy Falotico, Lincoln’s president says: “With the Model L100 Concept, we reimagine what the Lincoln sanctuary might look like for our clients of tomorrow, moving us forward to define the next chapter of the Lincoln story”. With next generation battery cell and pack technologies the concept car is environmentally friendly. But its real party trick is that it can operate autonomously and the front row seats can be flipped forward to create a social setting, allowing passengers to socialise and relax under its glass roof. Advanced, intuitive lighting follows the client around the vehicle using an artificial intelligence system and GPS sensors to curate a unique driving experience. The Model L100 Concept also celebrates the brand’s heritage and harkens back to the 1922 Model L in its design references. Sadly, the new Lincoln is just a concept for the moment - but the carmaker hopes it represents the brand’s stylish future.
