Watch: Lily James planning to release debut single

We all know that Lily James is one of the most versatile actors on the scene. We fell in love with her as the naive yet charming Linda Radlett in BBC One's The Pursuit of Love. We looked on in awe as she transformed into Baywatch icon, Pamela Anderson, for the upcoming biopic, Pam and & Tommy. What we didn't know is that she's apparently a budding musician too.

According to The Sun, the Cinderella star is planning to release a single at the end of summer, potentially to coincide with Glastonbury's one-day festival in September. The Sun reports that the single will be called, 'Send Her.'

A 'friend' apparently informed The Sun that “Lily and DJ Yoda recorded 'Send Her' in North London. It’s got a really chilled-out vibe which was the polar opposite of how Lily was feeling."

The source also suggested that Lily is keen to distance herself from the controversy with her The Pursuit of Love co-star, Dominic West. The pair went viral in October 2020 after being photographed cuddling and kissing in Rome. Dominic has been married to Catherine FitzGerald since 2010. The source said Lily, "went into the studio feeling rebellious and keen to shake off everything happening after the pictures of her and Dominic West in Italy came to light."

Lily has previously addressed the controversy in an interview with The Guardian. When asked "what it was like to be at the centre of a media storm," Lily responded by saying, "Ach, I’m not really willing to talk about that," adding that "there is a lot to say, but not now, I’m afraid."

Hands up who else is excited to hear Lily sing?
