Lily James has been cast as Pamela Anderson in a Hulu series that will focus on the Baywatch star's relationship with Tommy Lee. I, Tonya director Craig Gillespie will helm the eight-part show that will start filming in June.

Pam & Tommy will look back at their sex tape scandal, which was leaked after the couple's honeymoon in 1995. Anderson sued the video distribution company Internet Entertainment Group and eventually the case was settled confidentially. Afterwards, IEG began making the tape available to subscribers to its websites again, resulting in triple the normal traffic.

Deadline reports that Sebastian Stan, known for Captain America: The First Avenger, will play Tommy Lee, while Seth Rogan has been enlisted as the man who stole the tape. Anderson and Lee are not involved in the project, although they are both aware of it.

James can be most recently seen in a film version of Daphne du Maurier's Rebecca, in which she plays Mrs de Winter. Next year, she will appear alongside Carey Mulligan in period drama The Dig, which reimagines the events of the 1939 excavation of Sutton Hoo.
