At the beginning of the year, TikTok was suddenly awash with people professing their love for Little Moons Mochi. We can't blame them though, because these little mochi ice cream balls are so delicious.
Little Moons Mochi Ice Cream Balls have been around for a while, but some people were only introduced to them recently when the hashtag #littlemoons started trending and racked up 285 million views and counting on TikTok.
In case you’re wondering what mochi ice cream balls actually are, they’re delicious bite-sized sweet treats, made up of balls of ice cream wrapped in tasty rice flour dough. They’re honestly so yummy.
And now, Lidl wants a slice of the action and has launched its own version of the tasty balls.
Lidl's Vitasia Mochi Ice Cream launches in store 3 June (put it in your diary), and the bite-sized pieces come in four super-tasty flavours: chocolate, coconut, mango and vanilla. A six-pack of these frozen treats will set you back just £2.99.
Lidl's not the only supermarket jumping on the mochi bandwagon - Aldi has also launched its own version of the ice cream balls too.
Aldi’s Wao Mochi Balls come in three super-summery flavours: tropical, mango and coconut. Like Lid's balls, a box of six of Aldi's mochi ice cream balls will set you back £2.99.
