Lidl has launched a trio of adorable animal themed Easter eggs for children, ahead of the Easter bank holiday weekend.

The supermarket has revealed three eggs styled as a selection of zoo animals, complete with feet and chocolate faces. The new range includes a lion, monkey and elephant egg.

The lion and monkey are made from creamy, milk chocolate while the elephant is a white chocolate alternative. The eggs are available in stores now for £2.99, along with a host of other themed buys.

This latest addition follows a string of other Easter themed product releases from retailers. M&S has launched a Percy Pig Easter toy and bunny shaped crumpets, while PG Tips revealed a chocolate teapot (yes, really).

While this year’s celebrations with once again be taking place while restrictions are still in place, the fun Easter themed foods are a lighter way to celebrate the occasion.

We also think these eggs will be a huge hit with kids - and plenty of adults too!
