Condensation is a real bugbear for homeowners - especially at this time of year when the freezing conditions outdoors clash with the heating being cranked up inside.

Scots may spend more time than necessary trawling the internet for hints and tips, as it can be hard to track down the perfect product to solve the problem. But a leading supermarket may have the answer to your prayers.

Lidl's Tower Cordless Window Cleaner can be snapped up by shoppers for just £19.99, a 23 per cent saving. The window cleaner promises to get rid of condensation and give windows a "gleaming shine".

"The cordless cleaning companion uses powerful suction to effortlessly remove smudges and moisture droplets from your windows, shower screen and bathroom tiles," the description reads.

Meanwhile, the rechargeable battery "provides up to 30 minutes runtime" from a single charge, which means it is "ideal for cleaning multiple rooms around your home in a single session."

What's more, the product's 150ml water tank can be easily removed and emptied ready to polish your next window. It is also designed to be compact and easy to carry between indoor and outdoor areas.

The window vacuum, further described as a "convenient tool for cleaning all of your glass surfaces," comes with a one year warranty and is being raved about from consumers online who have already given it a go.

In fact, the Amazon reviews are just as glowing as the German budget retailer promises your windows will be. "Great for cleaning. Worth the money," crowed one satisfied customer.

"It sucks water and steam holding it at different angles," another enthused. "Not heavy to use." A third agreed, saying: "For me - much better than its more famous competitor."

If you are hoping to get your hands on the device, don't hesitate, as they’ll only be on shelves for a limited time. And as it is currently priced at £19.99 rather than the RRP of £25.99, it is sure to be gone in the blink of an eye.

The gadget will be arriving in the popular Middle Aisle of the store on Sunday, January 26. Like all Lidl Middle Aisle deals, they're only available to buy in-store, so if you're growing tired of grubby glass, head down to your local Lidl.
