Liam Payne makes his red-carpet debut with girlfriend Kate Cassidy at the British Fashion Awards
Liam Payne and his new girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, made their red-carpet debut at the 2022 British Fashion Awards on Monday night at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The former One Direction star, 29, looked dapper in a black suit while his 23-year-old other half donned a daring black dress with a thigh-high slit and midriff panel cutouts.
Excited for their public outing, the singer also took to his Instagram to post a picture of them dressed up and captioned it: “First time out in a while… great to be at the Britishfashion awards #FashionAwards @britishfashioncouncil.”
It was first reported in October that Payne had found love again with the British-American influencer after they attended a Halloween party at Latin American hotspot Inca, dressed as Pamela Anderson and her ex-husband, Tommy Lee.
The music star and Cassidy reportedly enjoyed a raunchy burlesque show before leaving the Mayfair hotspot hand-in-hand in the early hours of the morning.
Despite their romance being in the early stages, it’s already serious, according to a source, who claimed they are “mad about each other”.
An insider told The Sun at the time: “They are mad about each other. Kate is a wild girl so Liam is definitely in for a fun ride.
“She is always out in nightclubs and seems to be loving London.”
The insider also claimed that the New Jersey native, who is half-British through her father, moved to the capital earlier this year.
It was also reported that she was educated at leading university College of Charleston, in South Carolina, the 13th-oldest institute of higher education in the United States.
Prior to their appearance in London, Payne was believed to be single after Texan model Maya Henry broke off their tumultuous engagement in April.
Payne and Henry first announced their engagement in 2020 after two years of dating. They split briefly in June 2021 and rekindled their romance two months later, before ending things for good earlier this year.
The singer has also previously dated supermodel Naomi Campbell and Cheryl Tweedy, the mother of his five-year-old son, Bear.
