Liam Gallagher reveals how 15-year feud with brother Noel ended before announcing Oasis tour
Oasis fans were left stunned when it was announced the iconic Britpop band would be reuniting after a 15-year hiatus. Led by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, Oasis split up in 2009 due to the brothers' being unable to get along and work together amicably. Years of tension between the siblings followed, with plenty of derogatory remarks made by both parties in the media.
Liam, 51, was very outspoken when it came to his older brother Noel, 57, and regularly slammed him on social media and in interviews. However, it appears he eventually had a change of heart, as Liam has revealed it was him who instigated the Oasis reunion.
Replying to a fan on X, formerly known as Twitter, who asked about him and Noel ending their feud, Liam said: "I called him but don’t tell anyone as I don't wont folk thinking I’m a soft lad and stuffs keep it between me n you cheers x".

Oasis announced their reunion on social media in August along with several UK tour dates, due to take place in 2025. The band will play several nights at London's Wembley Stadium, as well as Manchester's Heaton Park and Dublin's Croke Park.
"The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised," the band wrote on social media as they announced their return. It is yet to be confirmed which members of Oasis will be joining Noel and Liam on stage next year, as the band's line-up changed regularly over the years. It has been rumoured that former members Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, Zak Starkey, as well as some members of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will perform with the Gallaghers.
Former drummer Alan White has teased his involvement in the Oasis reunion, but original drummer Tony McCarroll has shared that he doesn't think he'll be returning to the band. Adding further mystery to the Oasis reunion, Liam has since revealed that the band has finished recording a new album but no further details have emerged.

The Oasis 2025 tour sold out within minutes of tickets going on sale, but the band has received plenty of criticism for how the ticket sale went down. Fans were experiencing significant difficulties with ticket sites, including Ticketmaster, when tickets went on general sale.
Dozens of Oasis fans experienced errors with the site, or when they got through to purchase tickets, the price had increased due to dynamic pricing. The increase saw general admission standing tickets rise from £149 to around £355.
