Liam Gallagher and ex-wife Nicole Appleton mourn death of dog
Liam Gallagher and ex-wife Nicole Appleton have been reunited in grief over the death of their pet dog Ruby.
The 48-year-old Oasis singer revealed on social media that his beloved sausage dog Ruby had passed away on the evening of Tuesday 2 February.
Gallagher tweeted a picture of himself cuddling Ruby, captioned: “Just lost this little girl tnight absolutely gutted RIP RUBY aka SPARKLE x [sic]”

All Saints singer Appleton, 46, commented: “Oh Liam...I’m in bits..our beautiful little Ruby Tuesday.... #sparkle.”

The couple – who divorced in 2014 – bought Ruby during their marriage, along with another pup named Brigitte Bardot. The French actress and animal rights activist is said to be the woman Gallagher would want to be for one day.

Ruby was named after the Rolling Stones song Ruby Tuesday.
Appleton posted her own tribute to the pooch on Instagram.
She wrote: “I can’t even...my beautiful baby girl Ruby Tuesday has passed away. I feel physically sick and incredibly heart broken. I can’t believe it.”
Holly Willoughby was among her star friends to send their condolences.
She commented: “Oh darlin... sending you so much love... “
TV presenter Gaby Rosling wrote: “Oh no! I am so sorry Nic. She was so special. Sending you huge love and so many hugs my sweet.”

Gallagher and Appleton began dating in 2000 and welcomed their son Gene in July 2001.
They married in 2008 but divorced in 2014 after it was reported Gallagher was expecting a child with journalist Liza Ghorbani.
