Lesley Manville is stunning at BAFTAS in a beautiful ballgown
Lesley Manville wore a show-stopping gown to the BAFTA TV Awards last night (14th May), and was the picture of glamour.
Wearing a floor length, ruffled gown, Lesley was dressed to the nines, and looked flawless. Her hair was finished in an up-do with plenty of volume, and dangly black earrings, for a monochrome look.
Lesley is the recipient of a CBE, amongst plenty of accolades for her contributions to film, television and theatre, including a Laurence Olivier Award. To add to her impressive list, Lesley was nominated for a BAFTA last night for her role in BBC's Sherwood in the category of best supporting actress, losing out to Anne-Marie Duff.
Sherwood is a British television crime drama series, which is inspired by real life murders in Nottinghamshire. Lesley stars alongside David Morissey in lead roles.
Lesley also presented the coveted award of best leading actor, which was awarded to Ben Whishaw for his role in the medical comedy-drama, This Is Going to Hurt.
Ben won the award in an incredibly strong category, which included Cillian Murphy, Gary Oldman and Martin Freeman.
Currently, Lesley portrays the late Princess Margaret in the Emmy Award winning Netflix series, The Crown alongside Imelda Staunton as the late Queen Elizabeth II. The pair could be seen sharing laughs on the red carpet, and were photographed sharing some sweet moments with Imelda's husband, Downton Abbey's Jim Carter.
The Crown wasn't the first time the pair starred alongside each other, both playing pixies Knotgrass and Flittle, in the film Malificent, who take care of Aurora as a child.
