From Town & Country

Belmond, part of the world’s leading luxury group LVMH, has launched its digital-events calendar ‘Festive Invitations’ for all to enjoy at home.

Four virtual workshops celebrating timeless traditions of Christmas – from wreath-making to mastering the art of hand-crafted crackers – will be available via Belmond’s Instagram throughout November and December.

The first tutorial commences at 5pm tomorrow, when you can join the celebrity florist and Belmond Good Living Experience Maker Simon Lycett live on Instagram as he explains how to create a fragrant winter wreath.

Natural materials for the workshop, such as scented pines and berries, can be gathered and foraged, but a 16-inch wire wreath frame, garden twine, stub wires and scissors are all essential equipment. To decorate your wreath, Lycett recommends using moss, straw or wood wool as well as holly, berried and trailing ivy, conifer, juniper or heather.

The session will also be documented on IGTV for those who wish to make their wreaths at a later date.
