Law Roach won't be dressing any celebrities for 2023 Met Gala

Law Roach has confirmed he won't be dressing any celebrities for the 2023 Met Gala.

Last month, the fashion guru - perhaps best known for his work with Zendaya, Celine Dion, and Ariana Grande - announced in an Instagram post that he was giving up on his celebrity styling business due to "the politics, the lies and false narratives".

And while many of the looks for the upcoming event will be already underway, during a recent interview for The Cut, Law shared that he won't be styling any of the stars for the annual bash this year.

"No Met Gala. Cancelled," he insisted.

To be co-hosted by Anna Wintour, Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, Penelope Cruz, and Roger Federer, the 2023 Met Gala will be staged at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on 1 May. The theme is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.

As for what Law's key clients will do now that he is stepping away from the industry, the Legendary star noted that they would have to find new stylists - including Zendaya.

"People will say, 'Oh, you not gonna leave Zendaya.' But I don't have to style Zendaya to be a part of her team and her creativity team, right? So maybe if I choose, you know, not to be her stylist, I can still be her creative director and I can still, you know, manage a stylist or however I choose to do it. I haven't made a decision. She's giving me the grace to be able to make that decision because we really have a kinship," the 44-year-old added.

Law and Zendaya proved their friendship was as strong as ever when they hit the red carpet together at the opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai, India over the weekend.
