Lauren Goodger shares touching sign from late ex Jake McLean on anniversary of his death

Lauren Goodger has unveiled the emotional 'sign' her late ex-boyfriend Jake Mclean sent her on the anniversary of his death. The TOWIE favourite revealed she felt Jake was "definitely" sending her a sign, two years on from his tragic death.

Jake passed away in Turkey on 5 July 2022 following a traumatic car crash. He was driving at the time, with TOWIE star Yazmin Oukhellou also in the vehicle. Yazmin, 30, suffered severe injuries from the crash but survived after pulling herself from the wreckage.

Lauren, 37, began dating Jake in 2012. The pair were in an on-off relationship for more than four years, before finally calling time on their romance in 2016. The two remained close despite their separation.

Lauren had Jake's name tattooed across her inner wrist during their relationship. She revealed that she had laser removal sessions on the tattoo many years ago and it had faded.

However, on the second anniversary of Jake's death, she felt the tattoo was now "clear as day". The 37 year old posted a photo of the faded inking on Instagram and shared her shock.

"I had my Jake tattoo removed years ago and I never finished the sessions but it was not that visible...," Lauren told her followers. "Today my friend said let me see your arm you going keep that and I looked at my wrist and there is Jake's name clear as day WOW. He definitely showing me today."

Lauren also paid tribute to her late ex-boyfriend on the sad anniversary. She shared a shot of her and Jake together, and wrote: "5th July. Thinking of you today Jake always in my heart and thoughts so said.. A terrible loss love always Lauren," with a white heart emoji.

Lauren attended Jake's funeral in 2022 alongside other TOWIE stars such as James Argent and Liam Gatsby. She paid tribute to him on social media at the time, saying Jake will "always be apart of me".

At the time of his death, Jake was in an on-off relationship with TOWIE star Yazmin. The pair were first seen together in 2019 before splitting up, but had rekindled their romance and were holidaying in Bodrum at the time of the accident. Yazmin quit the ITV reality show six months later, with sources saying she needed time to recover from the trauma of the accident.
