We're now only two months away from the release of The Batman, in which Robert Pattinson takes up the mantle of Gotham's famed caped crusader, and excitement in the film and comic community is palpable. And, as one of the most anticipated films of 2022, DC and DCEU fans are chomping at the bit to find out more about the new Bruce Wayne and his vigilante alter ego.

Sharing the screen with Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell and Carmine Falcone, Pattinson's take on Bruce Wayne has been the talk of hundreds of forums, message boards and social fan accounts. But, with a new image from Rolling Stone, Batman fans are now being given their best-ever look at Wayne's new Batsuit for the 2022 flick.

The new image, below, is a never-before-seen preview of the Batsuit that, until now, has only been teased in flash shots in trailers. Simply put, it's the most we've ever seen of it and we're very excited.

Previously, a red-hued image of the Batsuit was revealed this time last year, ahead of principal photography for The Batman. Since then, the Twilight and Tenet alum Pattinson has been widely accepted by Batman fans as the new Bruce Wayne, with many believing that director Matt Reeves is using the new DCEU film as means to take the character (and his arch-nemeses) in a new direction.

At a red carpet event in 2019, Pattinson's Batman predecessor, Christian Bale, gave the actor some sage advice ahead of filming, replying to a reporter's question about the role, advising Pattinson to "Just make it his own, don't listen to the nay-sayers. Just think about it: everyone protested when Heath [Ledger] was cast as the Joker and look at the absolutely brilliant performance he gave."

We totally agree.
