Last minute Christmas gift ideas for beauty junkies

Hands up if you've left your gift shopping until the last minute? Me too! While there are downsides to shopping a day or two before the festive period (mainly the pushing, shoving and never-ending queues) you can also pick up some great deals thanks to retailers starting their sales before the big day has even arrived. If you're shopping for a beauty junkie, then this roundup of pampering presents should give you inspiration - no matter what your budget.

The Body Shop Love Etc

For teens and twenty-somethings, The Body Shop Love Etc fragrance makes for a great stocking filler. Despite the budget price tag (currently on offer at £7.50 a bottle or two bottles for £12) it's a light and fresh scent that lasts all day. Fancy putting together little gift bag of goodies? Check out the rest of the range that includes tins of solid perfume (on sale at £2.50) and their body wash.

Andrew Barton at Asda

If like me you prefer to do your shopping in as few places as possible to avoid multiple queues, don't forget to check out the Supermarket for last minute gift ideas. The Andrew Barton hair care gift sets at Asda not only look much more expensive they really are, but the products are salon quality too. With prices range from £5-£10 for gift sets that include everything from shampoos to hair rollers, they provide excellent value for money.

No7 The Ultimate Collection

Boots have been running a series of half price beauty gift promotions throughout the month of December and it seems they've saved on the best until last. The No7 Ultimate Collection contains everything from moisturisers and cleansers through to eye shadow and mascara. It's reduced from £65 to £30 online and in store but hurry - it's likely to sell out quickly.

Lush Wrapped Gift

For the ultimate lazy shopper, a pre-wrapped gift is the way to go. Lush is probably my favourite store for ready-to-go gifts; not only does the packaging look impressive but the products are totally gorgeous too. One of my favourites is their Winter Wishes gift set. Wrapped in rustic brown paper and tied up with string it contains shower gel, a massage bar and two soaps all in a soothing winter scent.

Spa Voucher

If you've left it super-late, a downloadable voucher can be purchased at anytime of the day or night. Check out online beauty sites like Wahanda for a choice of packages, spas and locations from the affordable to extravagant. Simply select a package, print your voucher and pop it inside a Christmas card.
